Dollhouse Bunk defined by Dar-c after purchasing this item and put it together I realized how low the area is to walk up to someone to sleep, or even when used for storage, it is! The leeway if the bed is positioned in space is minimual. My daughters came to mind many times trying to turn on / off of a vertical mattress next to the small cubicle. Neither my 5 or 6 years old ejoys at the lowest level (despite the recent placement of a 19 "LCD TV ** again, cabin has a very limited time, see the space and accessibility to run the power cables. I made a hole in the back of your office cubicle). I also feel disappointed that there were ladders with a unit this expensive. I ended up improvising with a cabinet in a horizontal position alongside the upper bunk. The "steps" are just a little more stable or more secure than a steep staircase. If I repeat it, would have chosen to spend money on a completely different device all 1 Rating ....

The Birch collection is made to endure the rigors of childhood. Each piece is crafted with the highest quality birch, every drawer is sturdy and spacious, every bed uses metal to metal connectors for added strength making this furniture ideal for any childs room. Made from solid red birch that is grown at a very high altitude. The higher the altitude, the harder the wood. The wood is kiln dried to assure that the moisture content is low to prevent twisting, cracking, or warping. The finishing process involves a four step lacquer process and the only time that it is touched by hands is during the sanding process. It is possibly the smoothest finish that you have ever felt. All joints are metal to metal connections. The cam locks are pre threaded, and taped in position to make for easy assembly. All slats for the beds are pre screwed and tethered making a bunkie board unnessesary. The guard rails are held in place by the metal to metal connections and a series of .75 maple dowels for stability. The drawers are solid pine wood construction on the sides and bottom and are English dovetailed front and back for long term durability. All drawers feature a completely finished interior with 4 coats of lacquer hand sanded between each coat of lacquer. Teflon coated Euro glides are used to assure easy opening and closing of the drawers and to keep the drawers square. The drawers on the case pieces use the full dimension of the case piece offering the most storage possible. The ladder on the bed screws in for safety. Packaged to exceed expectations. Foam wrapping and Styrofoam block corners in addition to a 4 barrier of foam in front of the drawers and a .75 wood platform protect each piece. This product requires some easy assembly. This item ships by truck.
